Competition shouldn't be about politics; it should primarily be about fun, accomplishment, and working together to achieve a goal. And all the while you should be growing. For too long I think clans and certain cliques within the community have had a stranglehold on competition.
That needs to change.
MASK Grand Sport is a Jedi League of the players, by the players, for the players.
We personally extend invitation to any and all players on the game, regardless of what clan you may be in, what reputation you have now or may have had in the past, and regardless of how skilled or experienced you are. If you are willing to compete, and can do so in a respectful way, then you are free to join.
Let me be clear, this is NOT a clan ladder system.
This is an individual-oriented, team system.
If you're here to buddy-up with your clanmates and/or your personal clique to beat up on people, then you have come to the wrong place. That's not what this is.
What we are doing is simple:
1. Players signup for Sports and are then placed on the Sports Roster
2. Once on the Sports Roster, players are eligible for all hosted games through MASK
3. If the gametype requires you be on a team, then we will do so using a ranking system and snake draft
Essentially the ranking system coupled with the snake draft ensures that teams are as balanced as possible, while as unbiased as possible. Will you be on the same team as your friends/clanmates? Maybe, but don't count on it. This system is in place so as to facilitate competition while maintaining balance. I think forcing players to abandon their competitive ties in a sense will only serve to help them grow even more. I hope that if you give this a chance, in time, you will also agree.
Any questions or concerns, please post here.
See you on the battlefield.
